3.b. Develop your Professional Learning Plan
We recognize that although this course is fairly comprehensive, climate change and earth systems are BIG topics and appropriate to consider as long-term learning opportunities. So, as part of this course we are asking participants to think about the Academy as a start (or maybe somewhere in the middle) of some professional learning on the topics. Planning for future learning about these topics is important and because of this we're requesting that you create a professional learning plan as a part of this course.
Suggested: Using the NSTA "My Learning Plan" tool create a personalized plan that outlines your professional learning experiences during and beyond the Academy.
NOTE: Use of the NSTA resource is not mandatory, a simple word document will work just fine, but the NSTA tool has added benefits that may support credit and additional learning/networking opportunities.
To start, you will need to create an account in the NSTA Learning Center (link)
To learn about the tool, watch the video on
Once you have an account in the NSTA Learning Center, go to the Professional Learning Tools and begin to create a personalized plan that outlines your professional learning experiences.
