Introduction to Earth Systems

For starters, please take a look at the embedded power point below.  This powerpoint some of the basic ideas about earth systems we feel are important to include in this course, especially, considering how earth systems are connected to the climate system.

Within this ppt. you will find a number of links to external resources and videos on earth systems science.  

There is also an earth systems analysis activity embedded in this powerpoint in which you will be asked to annotate a picture of your neighborhood, school or favorite natural place.  This annotated series of pictures will need to be submitted via the Earth System Analysis assignment (which will come up next).
