I have two ideas to encourage student action:

1. How climate change affects agriculture: The students would need to do research about local crop production and how the production has changed over the course of 10 years. Their research would also need to include the climate changes, what local crops need in order to have maximum production, and what the changes in production could mean for the area.

2. How climate affects the weather: The students would need to investigate the weather patterns for the region for the past ten years. The students would need to monitor the weather patterns for the current year. They would use the data that they collect to make prediction about the weather patterns for the upcoming years.
