The activities in this section may influence student engagement because it will help them see the ways that they impact the environment. May of the texts have to do with human impact on climate control and this would be an interesting way to get students thinking about the ways in which their behaviors impact more than just their environment. Games like the carbon cube also help students see the ways in which carbon Is easily trapped in certain areas. For instance carbon is very prevalent in the atmosphere and this can get students thinking about the ways in which human activity increases the carbon in the atmosphere which in turn leads to climate change. Over all the way in which students are able to relate to the activities in instrumental to how engaged they are and how meaningful the material is to their experience with the research.
