What are your thoughts on how the content from this section (as well as previous sections) might support components of a MWEE?

I think this content is great and very applicable  to what my student need to know in APES and can support the learning in my biology classes.

I think give student the content how all the components work together in order increase overall temperature will be better than just stating that it is Co2. I also think the resources can give my student insight on how they contribute to the changing of the climate around them.

I have some initial thoughts on how I may be able to get my students to  perform a MWEE in Montgomery county. I would need to contact my resources at the NASA Goddard center and have my student analysis heat sink data from the local area and from the two major cities ( DC and Baltimore) and have them analysis the change in these heat sinks as urban sprawl has occurred in this area over the last 1/2 century. I would also want them research how these heat sinks and warming lands effect the tributaries of the Chesapeake bay and how that too may also contribute to effects of climate change.

Matthew your certainly on to some great ideas here. There are some other MWEEs in development in Montgomery County that you may or may not be aware of... the one I am thinking of is being headed by Kirsten Jackson who is the content specialist for chemistry. I wonder if there might be some connections to be made between your bio class and the chem classes. Great things can happen when MWEEs are vertically integrated! Just a thought!
